Liverpool Agree Personal Terms With Striker

The Daily Star are reporting that Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Shakhtar Donetsk forward Alex Teixeira.

Despite this, the two clubs are still struggling to come to an agreement over a fee for the Brazilian striker. Liverpool are reported to have bid around the £24m mark, however, Shakhtar are thought to value the player much more than that, expecting well over £30m.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be extremely keen on the signing, although admits he won't pay silly money for Teixeira's signature.

Teixeira would join up with fellow Brazilians Roberto Firmino and Phillippe Coutinho should the move to Anfield go through, quite the Brazilian trio!

  1. Apart from signing Teixeira, Liverpool need to sign two centre backs to improve their defensive frailties. Defence is a major concern for the club.
